Informal Economy Research Project
(January - May in collaboration with Oxfam, Community Links - on behalf of Salford City Council, Economic Development)
SRD recruited, trained and supervised 8 local community researchers to conduct 400 random, street-based interviews with Langworthy residents concerning issues relating to the Informal Economy.
The research team sought to find out about the size and levels of cash-in-hand work in the ward. The information will be used to inform policy and practice to support residents moving to ‘official’, formal employment.
